NFL and College Football Pick’em Pools

Run an NFL-only pool, a College Football-only pool, or a combined competition. myfbpool supports NCAA Division I FBS for College Football. Choose the games your group follows, then use a weekly card to keep everyone focused on the same matchups.

NFL-only: a familiar starting point for office groups

An NFL Pick’em pool suits a group whose conversations already center on pro football. Members can compare familiar teams and follow one league together without adding college matchups to their weekly routine.

It is a useful choice when some colleagues are casual fans: a narrower focus gives everyone a clear starting point. Remind members to review the card before its first deadline, including games played ahead of the main weekend schedule.

College-only: make FBS Saturdays the focus

A College Football Pick’em pool fits alumni groups, friends who follow conference races, and offices where Saturday’s games drive the conversation. Supported college games are NCAA Division I FBS; this does not mean every level of college football is included.

A weekly card gives the group a shared set of matchups to discuss. Commissioners can review the card’s games before publication instead of asking members to work from separate lists.

Combined: one competition across college and pro football

A combined pool brings NFL and FBS games into the same competition. It suits groups that follow both and want one place for weekly picks, results, and cumulative season standings.

Combined pools also ask members to follow a wider range of matchups. Before choosing this option, check whether your group wants that broader weekly commitment. Some members may prefer staying with the league they know best.

Weekly cards give everyone a shared routine

Members open the weekly card, review its included games and displayed deadlines, and save their picks. The card organizes the week’s participation so members can see what needs attention without maintaining their own schedule or spreadsheet.

Automatic publishing works one week at a time. Commissioners can customize an unpublished automatic card without disabling its automatic opening; manual publishing is an alternative. The guide to running a Pick’em pool explains the setup sequence.

Choose leagues and scoring as separate decisions

Leagues determine which football your group follows. Pick’em formats determine how members make and score their picks: Straight-Up centers on winners, Against-the-Spread centers on covering the spread, and Confidence weights correct picks by confidence points.

Start with your group’s interests, then agree on a format and explain the rules before the competition begins. Read the Pick’em scoring and deadline rules or the Pick’em FAQ to prepare your invitation.
